Urnes Stave Church

Lion=christianity and serpent=paganism in constant battle forever

when you think your problems are bad think about how this church, built in 1150, has holes drilled in the side so lepers and plague victims can watch and listen to sermons without infecting the congregation

Tre Fot lives at the stave church. His name is the equivalent of Tripod in English. He is so cute! He watches the herd of red deer and the visitors stomping around here.

The first church had a dirt foundation and rotted, obviously.

Tours done daily in English and Norwegian. We didn't want to pay the K60 and just hung out until they left. Bad tourists!

it's called aquavit. it's more like a whiskey, says Ian. I tried some a few years ago in Washburn. If your heart can handle it, Ian will bring you back some more. Is that inappropriate to say, he wonders?
